Toys R Us waste of space

Welcome to Toys R Us Car Boot.
The Car Boot has stopped as of today because Toys R Us didn’t get permission to have a Car Boot after all………….. despite saying they did.

If anyone can suggest another venue nearby please contact me as we have grown very quickly and it seems a shame to close after growing so quick.

Anyone that liked the atmosphere of the Car Boot are more than welcome at Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot – this Sunday we have the massively popular Classic Car Show running at the same time so, it’s a must sell at day at the Car Boot. The last few weeks we seem to have almost doubled in size with so many buyers coming to the Car Boot. This Sunday August 18th is one of those days where you really should sell there as we will be absolutely packed with people there. Get there at 8am. Call me if you have any questions – 07817 539168

Visit www.fishface.co for details.

MY APOLOGIES TO EVERYONE BUT, Unfortunately the incompetence and stupidity of Toys R Us has ruined the Car Boot. But, watch this space as we have seen how quickly this was growing.

As for Toys R Us – I will never shop there again. What sort of company asks someone to run a Car Boot and then stops it after 5 weeks. Unbelievable. We had spent on weekly advertising, leaflet drops, writing endless advertising pieces and promoting everywhere and that’s on top of the time placing boards at strategic locations & all around Tescos. We paid for all the Car Boot websites etc etc and they are trying to say that they never set up a contract with us. Why else would we run a Car Boot there.

I hope that everyone understands that it had nothing to do with us the organisers. It was growing weekly and was going to be a great venue. I hope you treat Toys R Us as we will do as they don’t deserve your custom.

  1. I’m coming as a seller this Sat with 3 generations of ‘treasures’ that have been stored. Looking forward to having fun, turning my pictures and jewellery around and seeing lots of people, roll on Saturday.

    • We are new but growing every week. it’s a great location and on hardground so, it won’t be long before we become a large Car Boot.

  2. I have come down to The toys r Us carboot. A few Times, The first time was slow. The second time was Brilliant. I came bk a thrid time and it was closed. It was really growing and was hoping it was going to b a on going thing. Its so wrong wot They have done.and how They have changed there mind. Wont b going toys r us again. !!!!!

    • Thanks for your response. I’m sure a lot of people feel the same as it was genuinely growing. We were told that it had increased sales in the shop and was agreed by the Council and Toys R Us Head Office and then they close it. That’s obviously what they feel about the local community that increasd the number of people going to Toys R Us by huge numbers. We are looking for another venue in Ipswich near there but, we can only apologise and state that we have been let down more than anyone.

If you get a chance come to Stonham Barns which has already grown and is really doing well. You will be met with open arms there.. http://www.fishface.co especially the next two weeks where we have a VW Bus Jam and a Classic Car Show there at the same time as the Car Boot.
